Juice Fasting

One week , pure juices only. My BF is semi joining in with me, and I can't wait! I bought so many fruits and veggies today. Apples (green and red), cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, peppers (red, green, and yellow), celery, spinach, bokchoy, Swiss chard, carrots, limes, lemons, oranges, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, peaches, mango, and bananas. I'm super excited for this. I'll try to go for a week, and expect to be in the mid to low 120s by the end of this. I'll post a before pic tomorrow along with juice recipe of the day if anyone wants to join in. :) Any takers? P.S. Please leave comments with your fasting  tips and experiences. (juice fasting, water, any other type?) Thanks <3 Sunshine

  1. I would LOVE the recipe! It sounds yummy! I love fruits and veggies! If you get bad cravings for food, keep yourself busy and distracted! Make yourself a todo list, it WAY helps! Also have gum, or mints with you so you can chew on something, the minty ones help surpress hunger, trident gum is only like 3 calories, and I read somewhere if you chew it for like 30 minutes you burn all the calories and then some google it :). When I fast I always have a good stock pile of monster absolute zero, or their new zero cal one that's in a white can, I can't remember what its called, zero ultra I think, sometimes the fasting will make you feel sluggish or weak and these pick me up but don't give me a super rush like most energy drinks do, redbull zero is a good one too. Fasting for me is addictive, I'll start a water fast for one day and the next thing I know it's been three, know your limit though, when I water fast I sometimes will start to feel super dizzy after three days or so and that's when I stop. I don't know if that will happen with juice fasting, I've never done it, since you are getting good nourishment I don't think you will, but still listen to your body. even if it means breaking your fast for a day then starting again the next day, just don't go crazy on your day off. Sorry for the rambly comment.
Good luck! I can't wait to see your progress!

  2. Good luck, My sister has been doing something like this (store bought juices) for almost 2 months now. While she was over weight to start she has lost over 20 lbs and I have to say I seen her a week ago and DAMN she looks good. Stay focused and positive and good things will come.

  4. Hey, good luck on the juuice, all that fruit and veg sounds super healthy. I hope it works well for you :)
I don't have a juicer, but I'm hoping to get one next year so I can do juice fasts or substitute meals with juices now and then! (I saw a documentary about juice fasting and was inspired).

  5. I responded on the other one first but that is awesome. I like how you said all the fruits and veggies that you will be using. They sounds so yummy.

I have been wanting to get back into the shakes but I am on a super tight budget at the moment.
