It's Time

Sorry I haven't been posting consistently for a while. I just got done with midterms week, and I'm so glad it's behind me :) I think I did pretty well. I've decided that it's time to try something out that I've been thinking of for a while. I love animals so much, and seeing them hurt or suffering just breaks my heart. Starting today, I'm going vegetarian, maybe even eventually vegan, but we'll take this one step at a time for now. I'm gonna try it out for a week, see how it goes, and then go from there. Any tips, advice, pros/cons, recipes? I know a lot of my readers are vegetarian/vegan, and I'd love to hear from you. On another note, I've been stuck at 130 all week. I think it's almost that time of the month, so that may be to blame :/ I really want to try out the sacred heart diet but vegetarian style. Does anyone have experience with this diet? Sorry I'm so full of questions today. <3 Sunshine

  1. Hey. I love that picture.
I've been vegetarian my whole life, once you get used to it then it's not too hard at all.
They make quorn or tofu versions of pretty much anything you can get that's meat.
    Good luck.

  2. Hey Sunshine :D I'd watch out for selenium, vitamin D3 and iron intake.. other that that it's just as tasty and even more colorful ;) Egg-substitute sucks though, at least in my opinion ;) Maybe you find a nice one, I didn't. As I am lactose intolerant I restarted eating meat occasionally anyways.. Oh, and you might want to try beetroot for iron, if supplements don't agree with you :) Hope this is some kind of help for you <3 Need to get some sleep now, today was devastating. Uni from 8am to 8pm and since then I've been working on an upcoming presentation... Hope your midterms week has really gone that well! :D And hopefully I'll be gaining ground just like you do very soon.. xoxo and sweet dreams!

  3. I think it is great that you are going to be a vegetarian. Yeah one of my social buddies a male at that. He has just decided to go vegan and I told him why don't you try vegetarian first. Nope, he jumped in head 1st. He has been vegan for over a month now :-) I am so proud of him.

I hope you continue to do well.
